Place sausages in a frying pan and fill with water to reach about a third of the way up the sausages.
Bring the water to boil and allow it to simmer for 6-8 minutes, turn the sausages and continue cooking for a further 6-8 minutes.
At this time most of the water would have evaporated and the sausages will be pale and unappetizing.
The sausages will be cooked through, but simply require browning.
If water remains in the pan, drain it off. Now add approximately 30ml canola or sunflower oil and heat it gradually. Turn the sausages to ensure even browning.
