You need
8 ripe black figs
8 2x1cm sized pieces blue-veined cheese
8 slices Parma style ham or Bresaola
50ml olive oil
8 cocktail sticks
To serve: 2 pita breads
Prepare
Remove the stalk from the figs and cut slits into an + shape into the fig, leaving the base intact
Place a knob of cheese into the cavity made by pushing the slits open slightly
Wrap the ham around the figs, securing the ends with a cocktail stick
Place the figs in a baking dish
Drizzle lightly with the olive oil
Bake at 190°C for 10-12 minutes
Serve hot with wedges of toasted pita bread
